Panic! At The Disco’s new album “Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!” made an impressive debut on the Billboard Top Albums chart this week at #2 with over 83,700 units sold.   To herald the album release, the band hit the Sony Outdoor Stage at ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, with an electrifying performance of their first single “Miss Jackson”  and also joined Owen Wilson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Jimmy Kimmel in a skit. Panic! At The Disco will also perform their hit single “Miss Jackson” on The Queen Latifah Show on CBS on Friday, October 18th.

“Miss Jackson (Feat. Lolo),” the album’s first single/video, immediately landed on the top 10 on the iTunes Store’s “Top Singles” chart upon its release and is currently a top 15 favorite at Modern Rock radio outlets nationwide. Meanwhile, the single’s companion video is now in rotation at MTV2, mtvU, FUSE, and Logo’s “NewNowNext,” while also scoring over 5.7 million individual views and counting at www.youtube.com/user/PANICatthedisco

The band also recently announced a major US headline tour. The “Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die! Tour” gets underway January 14th at Seattle’s Showbox SoDo and then continues through mid-February (see attached itinerary).  Pre-sale for Panic! At The Disco’s “Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die! Tour” began this week through an exclusive partnership between the band and Tumblr, the first of its kind.

The pre-sale launched on the band’s site (which is powered by Tumblr), and the pre-sale code was featured in the Radar section, which reaches all Tumblr users. Of the Panic/Tumblr partnership, Nate Auerbach, Tumblr’s Music Evangelist says, “We’re extremely happy to have partnered with Panic! at the Disco to exclusively launch their tour presales. They created a beautiful piece of .gif art that has spoken perfectly to the passionate Tumblr community and helped drive sellouts on all dates. We’ll work with bands to use this model and take a more creative and exciting approach to promoting future tours.”
